Jonathan Frakes is currently directing THE LIBERATOR for TNT and teaching Directing at Rockport College. He recently directed THUNDERBIRDS for Universal and the pilot of THE TWILIGHT ZONE. In addition, he returned as Commander William Riker in STAR TREK: NEMESIS, the tenth movie in the STAR TREK franchise. Jonathan directed CLOCKSTOPPERS, a familyoriented science-fiction/action feature for Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies. Jonathan has directed and starred in the feature films STAR TREK: INSURRECTION and STAR TREK: FIRST CONTACT. He has played Commander William Riker on the Emmy Award winning television series STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION and in the film STAR TREK: GENERATIONS. Along with directing numerous episodes, he was executive producer of the hit series ROSWELL. Jonathan starred in and executive produced DYING TO LIVE. Accompanied by his wife, Genie Francis, Jonathan appeared in television guest spots on 3RD ROCK FROM THE SUN and OH BABY. He has directed episodes of STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION, STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE, STAR TREK: VOYAGER and DIAGNOSIS MURDER. He also directed the CD-Rom, STAR TREK: KLINGON. He is currently developing ILLUSION for Disney through his production company, Goepp Circle Productions. Along with numerous roles in theater, Jonathan has appeared on a variety of television shows. He won critical acclaim for his performances in the mini-series DREAM WEST and NORTH AND SOUTH. Currently, Jonathan has a recurring role on the AMC series THE LOT. In addition, he can be seen hosting Dick Clark’s BEYOND BELIEF: FACT OR FICTION on FOX. Jonathan is a well-accomplished trombone player. He is a featured musician on the album HOIST by Phish. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Mr. Frakes is married to actress Genie Francis and resides in Maine with their two children.
